Frequently Asked Questions

Do I really need to register for the WordCamp Kerala workshop in advance?
Yes, we only have limited seats for each workshop (40 per session), and having prior sign-ups will help us simplify things.

Should I purchase a ticket to attend WordCamp Kerala workshops?
Yes! Workshops at WordCamp Kerala are being held as part of the camp, and you will need to purchase a ticket to attend the workshops. We only charge a nominal fee of INR 500 (which includes free lunch, snacks, and lots of swag). :)

How many workshops can I sign up for?
We have not imposed any limits on workshop sign ups. Technically, you can sign up for all three workshops and attend all three of them. However, if you do so, you will miss out on the other interesting sessions being held at WordCamp Kerala.

What if I change my mind after signing up?
As much as possible, please try to attend a workshop after signing up. In case you are unable to make it, please let us know at the earliest (you can drop a mail to kerala-AT-wordcamp-DOT-org or send us a message through our contact form). This will help us free up slots for other participants.

Can I attend other sessions along with workshops?
Yes you can! You can tailor-make your WordCamp experience, if you wish to. We will publish our schedule shortly; you can switch between sessions before or after your workshop as per the event schedule.

What should I prepare before attending the workshop?
Many workshops require that you make certain preparations before attending the workshops. We expect that you will carry a laptop with certain software (like LocalWP) installed before attending the workshop. However, even if you are unable to meet all the requirements, that’s totally fine. You can still attend the workshop!

But, I am unable to sign up for this workshop in advance. Can I sign up at the venue?
We strongly recommend that you sign up beforehand. This is primarily because we have limited slots for workshops, which may fill out soon. So if you want to attend the workshop, we suggest that you sign up right away. With that said, depending on sign ups, we may have some slots available on the event day, but don’t count on it.

All workshop sign-ups seem to be full, and I badly wanted to attend one. What do I do?
Fret not! Reach out to us over our contact form or enquire at the registration desk at the event, We may be able to fit you in. At this point, there are sufficient remaining seats at all three workshops; so, sign-up for the workshop of your choice ASAP!

You haven’t published the WordCamp schedule yet, I want to take a look at other sessions before I sign up!
We hear you! The WordCamp schedule will be published shortly! Stay tuned to our website and social media for updates!
