Q. How much does WordCamp Kerala cost?
A: The Standard tickets cost INR ₹500 (approx. US$6).
Q. When can I buy the tickets?
A: Tickets are available starting January 31, 2023, and will continue to be available until they are sold out. They can be purchased from: https://kerala.wordcamp.org/2023/tickets/
Q: Will the tickets be refundable?
A: Because of the uncertainty of travel circumstances due to COVID-19, we will be allowing refunds of purchased tickets.
Q: I’m planning to apply as a speaker/volunteer, but I won’t know if I’d be accepted until later. Should I buy a ticket?
A: Yes. In case you are selected, you can request a refund.
Q: What should I do if my transaction fails?
A: In the unfortunate (and unlikely) event of a transaction failure, resulting in a non-issuance of a ticket (amount debited from card/account, but ticket not generated), please do not panic. Such problems are normally associated with connection issues, over which we do not have any control. If such an issue occurs, we kindly request you contact your respective card issuer/bank to get a refund of the said amount. Please drop us a line if you have any other concerns regarding tickets – we are happy to help.
Attending
Q. Do I have to be a developer to attend WordCamp?
A: In short, no. We embrace the idea of inclusion, which makes most WordCamps try to have a little something for everyone. We will announce our topics and speakers in advance so that all attendees may choose sessions in which they are interested.
Q. How many people will be there?
Across all attendees, volunteers, and sponsors at the venue, we expect about 500 people to be in attendance.
Health Measures
Q: Should I be vaccinated for COVID-19?
A: Per the latest announcement from the WordPress Community Team, attendees (including organizers, sponsors, and volunteers) of official WordPress events are requested to participate only if they: 1) are fully vaccinated or 2) recently tested negative. It is not a requirement, but a recommendation.
Q: Should I wear a mask?
A: Face masks are not mandatory at WordCamp Kerala 2023 as on January 2023. However, we will follow the prevailing health guidelines at the time of the event, regarding the same. However, if you feel safer wearing face masks at a large event, please do so.
