We are excited to announce the next WordCamp Kerala speaker – Aditya Kane, who is going to talk about an exciting topic: “Why I should contribute to WordPress.org?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Aditya has been working as a marketing professional and also community builder for the past 13 years in the WordPress ecosystem. He has worked as a community team deputy for Make\/WordPress since 2015 and has been sponsored in the past to work full time for a couple of years on the community team for WordPress.org.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He believes that the core tenets of open-source culture and philosophy should make its way into education, politics, law, economics, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He has also worked with rtCamp – a WordPress agency where he worked on their content, strategy and also focused on developing training material for onboarding new employees via their training platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ideas of open-source are inherently authentic and why I feel everyone should contribute to the WordPress.org project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his session, Aditya will talk about the Why, How, Where, and “What you get” – of contributing. He will explain why open source is authentic, how participation in such projects can be akin to living fully, where to start contributing, and what you get by contributing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
